Miscellaneous painted stuff

Been a while since my last post; been a bit busy with everything. Have gotten into Kingdom Death and Gloomhaven, painted a few guys here and there. Will be sticking to mostly just pic posts for a while to keep from burning out on updating this thing.

Alright, knocked out a squad of 5 of the death guard, and got a tyranid color scheme I'm debating on for the army!

Papa Nurgle

Hey guys! Gonna be taking on a couple big projects after this, so it's gonna be a bit before I have any real models/progress to show. My first attempt at Nurgle stuff. Really looking forward to starting the rest!

Got a few things done for miscellaneous practice the last couple months, plus a small commission. Next big project is a ~1,500 point Mechanicus army.

Salamanders Commission - Complete

So it's been a while

Been hard at work on that Salamanders commission (and dealing with some lemons from life, harshest of mistresses) these past eight months or so, and I've finally got something to show for it. Hopefully my next post won't come after several months' break! Anyways, on to the good part. 

Salamanders Tactical Squad I

First squad's done, more or less. Still have to do the basing and mess with the meltabomb a bit, but I'm pretty happy with the finished result. Will have better pics when the whole commission's done.

Got the client's approval for the final draft of the base color (second picture). First picture is the initial color before any washes.

New camera, new commission, new photos

Alright, so I finally snagged a camera for this explicit purpose - a Nikon D3300. Got a great bundle on ebay. Memory, tripod, 3 lenses, and half a dozen other things. Took tonight as an opportunity to start fiddling with it and got some pictures taken. The first set was before image adjustment in photoshop, and the second is after (Did auto-color. Will likely just adjust the white balance next time I use the camera). Any advice on the photography end would be greatly appreciated, since it's far from being an interest or passion of mine, and I'm just getting started. Obviously critique on the models is welcome too. Will be working on getting some backdrops so I can get some more pics up, hopefully better quality with each new post.

Next images will likely be a small DKoK post as promised, followed by extensive work on my current heresy salamanders project.
